[audio]Muhr - We Are Desolved - muhr
It is with great pleasure that we bring you the first release at Serein, by Canadian artist Muhr. Five tracks in all comprising sampled instrumentation, field recordings and carefully layered sound synthesis. A conceptual follow up to his release at Miasmah, Muhr has once again managed to deliver a beautifully sparse and organic sound that is becoming very much his own. We look forward to hearing more from him in the near future!

[audio]Lucas Arc - Muhr
An arch, a curve, a passage that allows senses to run through that thin, invisible line beyond which the impulses issued by the receptors communicate a dimension that brushes against wholeness. There is a variety of ways to represent these feelings: images and sounds are the elements chosen by Muhr to try to define these experiences. A careful research gives us a series of beats, never predictable, a resemblance of primitive and dissonant beats that immediately moulds within a melody assembly th...

[audio]Muhr "Farewell Anthology" [sfp09] - Muhr
Muhr is canadian Vincent Fugère, the man behind the influential Camomille netlabel and also the record label Apegenine. Sadly, some months ago he made the decision of focusing his efforts to other areas and the labels closed down. Muhr has released albums on several notable netlabels including 12rec, Serein and Miasmah. The new album carries the title "Farewell Anthology", which might signal something that could be interpreted as being the last Muhr album...

[audio]Muhr - Drames Et Precipices [zym010] - Muhr
We're really honourued to introduce you to the new work of Vincent Fugere, aka Muhr. After various collaborations with labels such as Serein, Miasmah and Areotone, the Canadian musician from Montreal gives us this little jewel called "Drames et Precipices", which redefines his sonical horizons. The ones who are familiar with Muhr music will be surprised listening to these new materials originally composed for a low budget movie and slowly changed to a sort of "spiritual soundtrack"...

[audio]Muhr - Anthèmes pour les Regrets [12rec.047] - Muhr
Not only a musician for approximately ten years now, Vincent Fugère a.k.a. “Muhr” was around when the whole Netaudio thing initially kicked off. As he reports in a recent interview for Phlow Magazine, microscopic social networks, chipmusic and a Babylonian mishmash of different file types where the primordial soup for the Netaudio scene to emerge from. Actually, Vince is the face behind the respectable Camomille Netlabel and Apegenine recordlabel...

[audio]Muhr - A Lonely Gust Of Wind [mtk197] - Muhr
It's been in the queue for quite some time, but we're proud to finally debut 'A Lonely Gust Of Wind' from Canadian artist Vincent Fugère, once known as Vizion but nowadays known as Muhr - a 3-track ambient EP of stark beauty and obtuse goodness. We start off, naturally enough, with 'Part 1', which drifts in and out almost entirely for the first half or so of the track, before laying into some repeated ambient phrased, before 'Part 2' starts to swell a little, laying on the almost orchestral wav...

[texts]Multimodal behavioral treatment of migraine: An Internet-administered, randomized, controlled trial. (Volume 116) - Hedborg, Kerstin
This article is from Upsala Journal of Medical Sciences, volume 116.AbstractIntroduction: Multimodal approaches in behavioral treatment have gained recent interest, with proven efficacy for migraine. The utility of the Internet has been demonstrated for behavioral treatment of headache disorders, but not specifically for migraine. The aim of the study was to develop and evaluate an Internet-based multimodal behavior treatment (MBT) program for migraine and to test hand massage treatment as an ad...

[texts]Stress in migraine: personality-dependent vulnerability, life events, and gender are of significance. (Volume 116) - Hedborg, Kerstin
This article is from Upsala Journal of Medical Sciences, volume 116.AbstractBackground and aim: The individual's experiences of stress as well as constitutional factors, including high neuroticism and female gender, are known determinants for migraine. The present aim was to further elucidate factors of personality and stress, including life events, in relation to gender in migraine. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed on 150 persons, 106 women and 44 men, suffering from at least two ...

[texts]Deep sequencing extends the diversity of human papillomaviruses in human skin. (Volume 4) - Bzhalava, Davit
This article is from Scientific Reports, volume 4.AbstractMost viruses in human skin are known to be human papillomaviruses (HPVs). Previous sequencing of skin samples has identified 273 different cutaneous HPV types, including 47 previously unknown types. In the present study, we wished to extend prior studies using deeper sequencing. This deeper sequencing without prior PCR of a pool of 142 whole genome amplified skin lesions identified 23 known HPV types, 3 novel putative HPV types and 4 non-...

[texts]Case Study of Four Homologous Large-Scale Coronal Waves Observed on 2010 April 28 and 29 - I. W. Kienreich
On 2010 April 28 and 29, the Solar TErrestrial Relations Observatory B/Extreme Ultraviolet Imager observed four homologous large-scale coronal waves, the so-called EIT-waves, within 8 hr. All waves emerged from the same source active region, were accompanied by weak flares and faint coronal mass ejections, and propagated into the same direction at constant velocities in the range of ~220-340 km s-1...

[texts]Analysis of characteristic parameters of large-scale coronal waves observed by STEREO/EUVI - N. Muhr
The kinematical evolution of four EUV waves, well observed by the Extreme UltraViolet Imager (EUVI) onboard the Solar-Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO), is studied by visually tracking the wave fronts as well as by a semiautomatized perturbation profile method leading to results matching each other within the error limits. The derived mean velocities of the events under study lie in the range of 220-350 km/s...

[texts]Transsacral colon fistula: late complication after resection, irradiation and free flap transfer of sacral chondrosarcoma. (Volume 6) - Steinstraesser, Lars
This article is from World Journal of Surgical Oncology, volume 6.AbstractBackground: Primary sacral tumors are rare and experience related to accompanying effects of these tumors is therefore limited to observations on a small number of patients. Case presentation: In this case report we present a patient with a history of primary sacral chondrosarcoma, an infection of an implanted spinal stabilization device and discuss the challenges that resulted from a colonic fistula associated with large,...

[texts]Formation of Coronal Shock Waves - S. Lulić
Numerical simulations of magnetosonic wave formation driven by an expanding cylindrical piston are performed to get better physical insight into the initiation and evolution of large-scale coronal waves. Several very basic initial configurations are employed to analyze intrinsic characteristics of the MHD wave formation that do not depend on specific properties of the environment. It turns out that these simple initial configurations result in piston/wave morphologies and kinematics that reprodu...

[texts]First observations of a dome-shaped large-scale coronal EUV wave - A. M. Veronig
We present first observations of a dome-shaped large-scale EUV coronal wave, recorded by the EUVI instrument onboard STEREO-B on January 17, 2010. The main arguments that the observed structure is the wave dome (and not the CME) are: a) the spherical form and sharpness of the dome's outer edge and the erupting CME loops observed inside the dome; b) the low-coronal wave signatures above the limb perfectly connecting to the on-disk signatures of the wave; c) the lateral extent of the expanding dom...

[texts]Impulsive acceleration of coronal mass ejections: I. Statistics and CME source region characteristics - B. M. Bein
We use high time cadence images acquired by the STEREO EUVI and COR instruments to study the evolution of coronal mass ejections (CMEs), from their initiation, through the impulsive acceleration to the propagation phase. For a set of 95 CMEs we derived detailed height, velocity and acceleration profiles and statistically analysed characteristic CME parameters: peak acceleration, peak velocity, acceleration duration, initiation height, height at peak velocity, height at peak acceleration and size...

[texts]Plasma diagnostics of an EIT wave observed by Hinode/EIS and SDO/AIA - A. M. Veronig
We present plasma diagnostics of an EIT wave observed with high cadence in Hinode/EIS sit-and-stare spectroscopy and SDO/AIA imagery obtained during the HOP-180 observing campaign on 2011 February 16. At the propagating EIT wave front, we observe downward plasma flows in the EIS Fe XII, Fe XIII, and Fe XVI spectral lines (log T ~ 6.1-6.4) with line-of-sight (LOS) velocities up to 20 km/s. These red-shifts are followed by blue-shifts with upward velocities up to -5 km/s indicating relaxation of t...

[texts]STEREO-A and PROBA2 Quadrature Observations of Reflections of three EUV Waves from a Coronal Hole - Ines Waltraud Kienreich
We investigate the interaction of three consecutive large-scale coronal waves with a polar coronal hole, simultaneously observed on-disk by the Solar TErrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO)-A spacecraft and on the limb by the PRoject for On-Board Autonomy 2 (PROBA2) spacecraft on January 27, 2011. All three extreme-ultraviolet(EUV) waves originate from the same active region NOAA 11149 positioned at N30E15 in the STEREO-A field-of-view and on the limb in PROBA2...

[texts]Prevalence of myocardial crypts in a large retrospective cohort study by cardiovascular magnetic resonance. (Volume 16) - Child, Nicholas
This article is from Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, volume 16.AbstractBackground: Myocardial crypts are discrete clefts or fissures in otherwise compacted myocardium of the left ventricle (LV). Recent reports suggest a higher prevalence of crypts in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and also within small samples of genotype positive but phenotype negative relatives. The presence of a crypt has been suggested to be a predictor of gene carrier status...
